REGULATIONS FOR SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
2nd Brazilian Congress of Skull Base Surgery
Each scientific submission may include a maximum of eight (8) authors.
The accuracy, integrity, and veracity of the data presented are the sole responsibility of the submitting author.
Authors must be registered for the Congress in order to submit an abstract. In the event of acceptance, at least 50% of the listed authors must be duly registered so that all co-authors registered in the system are eligible to receive certificates.
Each author or co-author may be listed in up to ten (10) abstracts, allowing a maximum total participation in twenty (20) submissions, comprising up to ten (10) as first author and ten (10) as co-author.
Submitted works must not have been previously published nor simultaneously submitted for publication in any scientific journal and must fall within one of the following areas:
• Skull Base Surgery: Advanced Approaches
• Vestibular Schwannomas
• Facial Nerve Rehabilitation
• Craniopharyngiomas
• Skull Base Meningiomas
• Hearing Rehabilitation in Skull Base
• Orbital Surgery
• Skull Base Malignancies
• Surgery vs. Radiotherapy
• CSF leak
• Complications in Skull Base Surgery
• Skull Base Surgical Anatomy
Examples: Medical Liability, Occupational Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Management, Training and Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Dentistry, Physical Therapy, Nutrition.
The corresponding (submitting) author will be notified of the acceptance decision via the email address used during abstract submission.
The submitting author who registered the work will receive notification of approval via the email used for submitting the abstract.
In the case of works involving the use of animals or humans, if there are any images, they must protect personal identification confidentiality and have the patient’s consent.
Any issues during the submission process must be communicated by the final deadline date and time.
Any issues or discrepancies during the submission process must be reported no later than the final submission deadline date and time.
e-POSTER FORMATTING GUIDELINES
The preparation of the e-poster file must strictly comply with the following requirements:

Files must be saved in PDF and JPG formats, with a recommended resolution of 150 dpi, in vertical HD format (1080 × 1920 pixels). Files submitted at lower resolutions may result in illegible content.

Use your assigned abstract ID number (as listed in the approved abstracts) to name the file.

Example: If your ID number is 35, the files must be named 35.pdf and 35.jpg.

The official header/template provided with the visual identity of the 2nd Brazilian Congress of Skull Base Surgery must be used.

Fonts must be clear and legible, following these minimum sizes:

Title and subtitles: Font size 14

Body text: Font size 11
-
References: Font size 9

Maintain the original margins of the provided template.

When including images or tables, ensure that images are high resolution, and that table text meets the minimum font size required for references.
The final deadline for e-poster submission is April 15, 2026.
AWARDS
Six (6) submitted works will be selected for scientific awards. The results will be announced during the Congress.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates related to the Scientific Works of this edition will be made available within 15 days after the conclusion of the Congress and may be accessed and downloaded via:

or directly through the Congress website.
Please locate your certificate using your abstract ID number.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

There will be no oral presentations of approved e-posters. All accepted works will be digitally displayed on virtual totems for review by Congress participants throughout the event.

Submitted works must not be published or under review in any other scientific journal.

The accuracy and authenticity of all data are the sole responsibility of the submitting author(s).

Intellectual and scientific property rights of the submitted works remain entirely under the responsibility of the authors and co-authors. The Brazilian Society of Skull Base Surgery assumes no legal liability regarding authorship or content.
